Indiana University ‘Business is Global’ Summer Program

Indiana University ‘Business is Global’ is accepting applications for their summer 2015 program. DEADLINE is Tue 7 April. The program is a unique blend of culture, language, and international business learning that offers students an introduction to the myriad of opportunities available in today’s global marketplace. TAG Yearbook!

A message from Ms. Greer, Faculty Adviser for the TAG Yearbook:

The TAG Yearbook is going on sale in February!

How to buy a yearbook: Students can purchase their yearbooks in front of the TAG office before school and during lunch for the entire month of February. For the first week of sales (February 2 – 6), the yearbook will be available for just $25. On February 9, the price increases to $30. Students may pay with cash or with a check made out to “TAG Yearbook.”

Online purchases: Yearbooks will also be available online for $30 HERE. There, you can find the TAG Yearbook under the name “School for the Talented and Gifted” or under the school code of 50630.

Recognition ads: If you’re interested in buying a recognition ad for your student, you can also design and purchase those HERE.  A full-page ad is $50, a half-page ad is $30, and a quarter-page ad is $15. The yearbook also encourages students to buy ads with their friends.

Email pictures: The yearbook is still collecting pictures for several pages. If you have pictures from Flight School, TREK, or the Halloween dress-up day, please email them to yearbook.tag@gmail.com.

Magnet School Applications Now Available!

The magnet school application for TAG and all other DISD magnet schools is now available online! Applications will be accepted starting today, January 12, until Friday, January 30. Please submit your application online and then bring in the documentation required to the TAG office before January 30, 2015. We have a computer available here at the TAG office for those who wish to fill out their application in our office. The links are below for all application materials:

TAG Senior Thesis Project – Austen High

Come see Austen High, a play written and directed by Michelle Landry, one of our seniors. This is a workshop, ensemble performance based upon the characters of Jane Austen and set in a modern high school. Run time is about 30 minutes. Following the performance, there will be a short talk-back (15 minutes), and afterward you are all invited to stay for Michelle’s thesis presentation!

Tickets are on a pay-what-you-can basis, and there will be concessions as well.

Date: Dec. 6th 2014

Time: Doors open at 7:45 p.m., and the play starts at 8:00 p.m.

Location: Magnolia Lounge,1121 1st Ave, Dallas, TX 75210

Parking is free at the Magnolia Lounge.
