Perhaps the best way for prospective students to get a feel for what being at TAG is like is to “shadow” a current student for a day, attending classes and lunch with that student. Shadowing is not required for admission and is offered in order to help students decide if TAG is the right school for them.
Shadowing dates will be available from October 1 through December 11, 2019 (Monday-Thursday ONLY). Shadowing spots are limited, so we recommend that prospective students sign up early in order to secure a space. To schedule a day to shadow, contact the TAG office at (972) 925-5970.
TAG Information Night
On Thursday, November 14, 2019 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm, TAG will host its annual TAG Admissions Preview Night. This is an opportunity for prospective students and parents to learn more about TAG and to interact directly with the school’s principal, cluster coordinator, and counselor and be able to learn about the school and admissions process.
Yvonne A. Ewell Townview Magnet Center Open House
On Wednesday, December 4, 2019 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Townview will host its Open House. During this event, prospective students and their families will be able to visit all of the magnet schools housed in the Townview Magnet Center. Members of the TAG faculty and current TAG students will be available to answer questions, give tours of TAG, and provide information about the TAG application process.
Dallas ISD Magnet Fair
TAG participates in the annual Discover Dallas ISD School Fair. Representatives from TAG, including teachers, students, and families, will be on hand to speak with prospective applicants. At this event, TAG will be holding information sessions (in both English and Spanish) about the application process.
This event is currently scheduled for November 2, 2019. As the date becomes closer, more information about times and locations will become available on both the TAG and DISD websites.
