Hello TAG family!
And just like that, the first week of the 2018-19 school year is finished!!
I cannot overstate how much I, along with our staff, have enjoyed this week. With the exception of ongoing bus issues (updates below!), the first week of school at TAG has gone very smoothly! Classes are already in full swing and the students have already begun to settle into their schedules and their classes. We know that the first couple weeks of school can be an adjustment for students who are coming into TAG for the first time, whether 9th, 10th, or 11th grade. If you’re beginning to feel behind or have any questions, know that you’re not alone and that we’re here to support you! Come and talk to myself, the counselor, or any teacher! This is a natural part of adjustment to any high school, and is especially pronounced at a challenging high school like TAG.
As we head into the second week of school, I want to encourage all of our students to look for ways to get involved in extracurricular clubs and organizations! We have so many different ones to offer and they’ll be starting up this coming week and over the next month! And parents, we want to encourage you to come out and get involved with the PTSA. Our first PTSA Coffee and Meeting will be held on Friday, September 7 in the Townview Library from 8:00am until 9:30am.
